I had a positive skin test when I was last tested (18 months ago) but a negative chest x-ray? I did not go on any med's because I suspected that I may have had the TB vaccine for international travel. When my mom supplied my immunizations (yes, it took 18 months to find them!) the only thing I saw that might be the cause of this positive skin test was an immunization that I had when I was one year old that says "TB tinc." I have no idea what that immunization is. Does anybody out there have any ideas?

Hi All,
I have recently applied for my wife's EAD to Phoneix Lock box and got the Receipt from NSC with the LIN number. RD: 02/25/11 and ND:02/28/11. Check also got cashed. I tried to access that receipt number in USCIS case status website online to get the status yesterday 03/09/11; it says the case number is not found. I am sure I typed the correct receipt number. Any idea what could be wrong? Has anyone experienced this before? Should I contact the customer service? Please help me.

The only other thing I think should be stressed is that we are already H1-b holders, already applied for green cards, so not taking any more jobs away from USCs. All we are asking for is expedited processing of our already filed applications.

As for the point that you brought up, I drove home that point repeatedly at an event in Washington, DC last Friday: we have already applied for our green cards.

Both my wife and I also received a RFE on June 29th but don't know the content of the RFE because haven't received the CIS letter yet. I did submit the BC, however, so I hope that the RFE is not for BC. I don't know what else it could be.. I have been scratching my head since I got the email yesterday. Also called CIS but they wouldn't tell me what the RFE is about.

there is another LUD on my 485 today, continuosly from the last 4 working days Dec6th,7th,10th and today(11th)..not sure what's going on...:confused:
It could be anything. Did you get your biometrics taken recently? People normaly would get updates after that. The first meaningful update would be something like "On xxxxx we have ordered your (green) card production". If you got that, you know you got your green card. But your PD is late than current processing date, they wouldn't adjudicate your case, even your name check is cleared. Is your name check cleared?

Hello,
I am an F1 visa student and am marrying my sweetheart who is an American citizen. We are planning to pick up the marriage license tomorrow, in MA. I know one of the questions is "residence". Do I put my local residence (I've been here for about 6 years) or my foreign residence? I do not want to jeopardize my status.

It may be operated by the SSA but then how does it know that the EAD you have submitted is genuine and is valid for work? There has got to be a real time call to the USCIS systems to validate that the EAD is genuine. Now common sense would say that it should just be a read only query returning a Yes/No response, but then the USCIS has probably overengineered it just as I am probably overthinking the situation. :D
Oh well... first happy weekend after being employed again. Looking forward to going out for a nice dinner for Valentine's Day, splurge a bit and do my part to recharge the economy so more laid off immigrants like me can get jobs.

It is really tough to get EB2 without work experience. Requiring a foreign langauge usually does not qualify for EB2 category automatically.

Hey, my friend just got admission in a college and since she is not a US citizen or permanent resident. So, she needed a co-signer who is one but unfortunetly she couldnt get one cuz no one other then your own family member will trust u and sign and affidavit or co-sign a loan. Now her aunt who came with her husband on his work visa,been living for 9 yrs, recetly went out of status(I dont know the reason as its personal) has bank account and of course some savings. So my friend's aunt signed the Affidavit for my friend that was required by the university in order to process the student visa. It does. MS = BS + 5yrs experience per the general guideline principles followed by CIS/companies. My EB2 was applied when I had around 1yrs exp after MS. Imp thing is that the job for which your LC is being filed should have EB2 requirement. Make sure of that. Otherwise, even if a PhD candidate is employed for a layman job, it's doesn't warrant EB1. the driving factor is the job's requirement.

Since CIR is about to be discussed in the Senate is it worthwhile to send a petition to all judiciary committee members? Maybe we can use one of those onlinepetition websites and encourage all members to virutal sign it. A petiton with a large number of signature might have a favorable response rather than an individual writing to a local congressman (I always get a standard one page response even though I change text and highlight one aspect of our issues). What is your opinion on this exercize - is it useful?
Ofcourse meeting the lawmakers thru state chapter is the best and members can continue to do that. The above is a complimentary action (and which need members to sign a petition).
