Did you ever used EAD? Just getting an EAD does not mean you were on EAD.
Also AP does not invilidate your H1. If you are working with the H1 sponsoring employer and never used EAD, then you need not worry.

Thanks for your replies. I am still working for my H1 job. But I did use my EAD for some time to do a part time job. I have not done any part time work since the EAD expired.

H1B requires a minimum of bachelor's degree which is 16 years of education. Also, 3 years of work experience is considered equivalent to 1 year of college education.

Because you never know, when the new fiscal year begin on Oct 08 for the USCIS the EB2 dates may go back to Mid 2003 and it will not quickly move forward until July or Aug of 09.

You can try filing a FOIA request with USCIS and ask them to give yo information. It will take lot of time though. Immigrationvoice filed FOIA request last year and now USCIS shows all EB data to everyone.

I called USCIS to check the status of my pending I-485,PD-Dec2005. I was told they are processing applications with ND in July . My RD-2 July 2007 ,ND -28 Aug 2007.
Since there was no email or online update about my approved AP,I-131, I asked rep to check the status out of curiosity, I was told that case is still pending and they are processing April 2008 applications.
Here is the weird part; I received my approved AP 4 days back. How did that happen ????:eek::eek::eek: I donno.
I know the online status is out of sync. My questions -Is this something I need worry about and call USICS to let them know that I have already received approved AP. I donno what�s going on with my other applications. Should I just wait to see the results in the mail and not rely on online status??

That's great news - IV's efforts are paying off now. Not sure if they give two years for all EAD's applications (either renewal or new) that are currently pending. Now I wish my application will get a bit delayed in processing :)

Just when you thought it couldn't get much worse.
Now we are told that ICE agents grab mentally ill immigrants right from mental hospitals, ship them off to a Texas detention center without word to family or counsel, and deport them. Could ICE's behavior be any more horrific?
The latest ICE outrage against immigrants has been released in a study conducted by Texas Appleseed, a public interest law center, and Akin Gump, a corporate law firm, and documents ICE's mistreatment of mentally ill immigrants at every stage of the deportation process. http://nyti.ms/atZYsB.
The report is just the latest in a stream of countless stories of neglect, abuse, and deaths of detainees in ICE detention. Some tales fit neatly into the annals of the world's most oppressive regimes, including the plight of Boubacar Bah, who, after mysteriously suffering a skull fracture, was handcuffed by ICE officials while writhing in agony in his own vomit on the floor of a New Jersey detention center, then locked-up in an isolation cell for 13 hours without medical treatment and, finally, transported to a hospital in a coma where he later died, (See Secret Horror Stories: ICE Officials Hid The Truth About Immigrant Deaths In Detention http://bit.ly/4tdHDt).
Several months ago homeland security secretary Janet Napolitano and ICE assistant secretary John Morton announced a review of the ICE detention operations with the stated goal of creating a "truly civil" detention system. DHS should not tolerate even a single case of abuse or neglect of a person in ICE detention. The poor treatment of the mentally ill should also be viewed in light of the recent March 27 Washington Post article revealing dissension at top levels of ICE management. Napolitano and Morton are now suffering from a credibility gap. They must demonstrate clear and forceful leadership if they want to succeed in implementing the priorities and reforms they announced months ago on enforcement. All Americans are entitled to be secure in the knowledge that individuals detained by ICE will be treated humanely, and in accordance with applicable detention standards.

If you have worked on a H1B that was from the quota and you have
never left the US for more than 1 year since then.. then you can
transfer your university H1B to company H1B (without waiting for Oct1)
