    Hi ,
    my experience with O visa is that paperwork, presentation, previous track record of the lawyer with USCIS is critical

    so in this case, absorbing the 5000 cost difference may be a good idea

    Of course you can always ask your employer if they are willing to take that hit but as you know you have a 50 % chance there at the best

    So decision is yours
    If you're confident, you always have a change to get cleared everything.

    I got tired of searching for appointments myself on the NVARS website and signed up with XVARS instead. Lets see if they deliver. I picked Toronto between 12/07 and 12/20 so hoping they find me my appointment. Will post an update again soon.

    I understand that a H1B visa is the expense to the employer and is not a taxable benefit to the employee. If a company wishes to pay for the green card for the employee, granting them permanent residence in the U.S., is this a taxable benefit to the employee? Should it be added to their W-2? If yes, where is the IRS documentation on this? I can�t find it. Thanks.

    Hi All,
    I have filed an extension for my parents B2 Visa. I have got extension approval but only got I-94 for father and did not find I-94 for mother. I did attach Supplement-I with my mother's details.

    I just happen to look at my application, I-539. I found that I checked the following:
    Members of my family are filing this application with me.
    The total number of people (including me) in the application is: 1

    Is it customary that I only receive I-94 for the principal applicant (in my case) and don't have to worry about?

    If not, please share your thoughts. Do I need to file seperate application for my mother at this point?

    Was it first h1 renewal (meaning 3rd year) or second h1 renewal (meaning 7th year).

    Did you do anything extra to avoid PIMS delay (like when you renewed your h1) did your employer keep another copy with a notice saying send to Kentucky CC

    How long was the gap between h1 renewal received and you going for stamping?

    Springflower, I have used Infopass for obtaining AP last year since my father was not well and was hospitalized. I requested his doctor to issue me a certificate about the situation and submitted the same in the appointment. Although it took two weeks eventually seems like it worked.

    Sorry..I have incorrectly named the thread..it suppose to read this way- "Changed Employer (but not informed USCIS), travelling on AP" .
    A couple of points : 485 is your property. Its a grey area whether to inform USCIS or not, some advocate it as its a proof and file AC21 and some have different opinion its a personal choice. Regarding using AP I myself dont see an issue. Rest of all are supporting dox. Nice to have supporting documents.

    Informing USCIS is nothing but officially filing AC21. Since there are no forms its just a letter indicating AC21.

    Until recently I had not even tried to look for other opportunities, but I suddenly find myself with a position (another company). I am not familiar with the rules of AC21. The new position is in management and is most likely in a different SOC code. Have any of you had issues with a move? Is it required to inform the USCIS of the move - I have heard that there is no need to inform? Please help.

    No, I am not planning for GC now but might apply for E3 visa in future so just want to keep all my visa in same passport.
    1. Do you know any process of H1 stamp transfer on different new citizenship passport.
    2. Is there's any wages difference between H1 & E3 ? Because I have heard while you are on H1 agents will take atleast 30% commission from your salary.
