I do not think it is a normal scenario. A lot of my friends work for in the software industry. There are generally no delays in getting a paystub if salary is deposited regularly.
Please ask your employer to be more prompt at providing pay stubs as you need those for everything that requires income proof.

To complicate things further, cloture on 9-11 responders failed by 57-42. Republicans are not willing to let anything go till Tax cuts bill is undertaken.
The breaking news is the House Democrats have decided not to undertake Tax cut bill in the House, meaning the new tax cut deal announced by the President will not hold good anymore.

I don't think this will jeopardize their cash flow. Surely they will charge 3 times more for a 3 year renewal. It will just make life easier for us and them.
And then I will complain about having to spend for a 3 year renewal when I 'expect' to get my GC within a few months.

3 weeks seem to be still in the ballpark. Took about that long to get my FP notice too. Did you e-file? Paper-filers do not get FP notice.

EB2 India..My 140 has been approved in May.07, also got EAD/AP but my employer doesnt want to give me Receipt Notice or Approval Notice of 140... So can i leave this company and join different company...

My experience is that you can't collect your passport same day of your interview. After your interview, your visa will be approved. But your passport will get to VFS hand only after 2 business days. You might have to stay in Chennai for 2 days after your interview to be able to collect the passport from VFS counter in Chennai. I had same issue. I was suppose to be in US day after interview and passport was struck between consulate and VFS. I ended up coming to US 3 days after my initial Plan. Good luck. This is my experience from Nov 2006.

-Currently on their H1 (6th year fag end) and with an ongoing 485 proces 180 days passed.
-Employer A is threatening to withdraw the I 140 if I move out from their company.
Employer B:
-Fortune Client where am currently working as a contractor
-B is filing my H1 and would be offering me to use H1 or AC 21 to port to their company.
I am transferring to company B upon H1 extension approval and then later use AC 21 when ever required.
However, before I use AC 21, if the I 140 is revoked, am I still eligible to use AC 21?
Does revoking I 140 by the employer after I 140 approval has any effect if I dont use AC 21 prior to revoking?

seems like it. A lot of people seem to be doing it which is why EB2 is not moving fast enough
there were 400k application pending for AOS as of last year. 50% Eb3 would make them 200k..
can anyone know how much of 200k ported to Eb2 ? if no is above 50k then its an issue. under less than 50k will justify by slow economy and new labor rule ( no more Eb2 for Software Engineer ).

If you do the paper file for which you submit all the initial evidence and supporting docs, you dont need to do finger printing.
but if you do e-file then you will have to go for finger printing.
Anytime you do your finger printing it is valid for about 15 months.
For me too I gave my finger prints in Nov 2007, but still USCIS sent me FP notification for code2 Finger printing.
by the way USCIS's RFE for me turn out to be that they dont have my code-2 finger prints in their system, so they need to know the details about my FP appointment and what's the schedule.

Traveling for the 1st time on AP (used H1 stamp previously, now I am on ead), wanted to know how the experience at SFO is. Do they always send you for secondary inspection? Anything else to know beforehand?

don't send copy of passport or DL. it clearly says not to, and my experience was it is unnecessary, as you will get a biometrics appointment (where they check your id).

I also see a LUD 11/25 on my both approved I140's EB2/EB3. I have only used EB2 to file 485, so my guess is its a system wide LUD, some maintenance program running.

- I'm under EB2 - RoW category. My I-140 just got approved and I was preparing to file for my I-485 (current)
- I went to the Bahamas last week to get my 3 year H1B renewal stamping but it was denied due to employer issues and I was forced to go back to India.
- Now I cant go back to US to file my 485. My company is still offering to help me on my GC.
I'm still reeling from the shock of my H1B denial. What are my options now?
Is Consular processing the way to go? Will loosing my H1B status have any effect on CP?
Should I start CP immediately or can I wait a few months to try to get back to the US on a new H1B?
Can anyone point me to some online materials detailing CP.

I know this is a little late, but based on the ridiculous snail speed of the VB, this is the first time I scrutinized my I-485 receipt and the USCIS online case check.
I, like a lot of others, got my I-140 approved, and then slipped in my I-485 application during the July VB fiasco of 2007.
I have a PDF of the FedEx delivery receipt/signature that it was delivered to the USCIS on July 28th, 2007, a Saturday
On my Receipt, it says the "Received Date" is July 30th, the Monday. I am not going to dispute that 2 days, especially since it was a Saturday.
BUT when I go online to check my case status through the USCIS website, it says
On September 5, 2007, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our NEBRASKA SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

I maybe being silly here, but I'd appreciate anyone that can answer my question. I mean, their computer is saying they got my package on September 5th! This doesn't even make sense, cos the July VB fiasco window was over by Aug 15th back in 2007!
Also, just so I know, anyone got their July VB packaged delivered on a Saturday but got a receipt date for the Monday after? (I'll feel a little better if I know I am not cheated here)
Now, i can get back to being grumpy about the VB retrogression/non-movement saga of 2009.
